The emerging brand may be new to the franchising industry, but it's already been featured on hit shows like "Cake Boss" and "Impractical Jokers.."
When ArteVino first broke into the emerging paint and sip industry back in 2012, co-founders Paolo Canale and Jakop Eskinazi were simply looking for a way to bring business and art together in a way that had never been done before. But now, that once simple idea has become the center of a rapidly growing franchise system that's receiving national attention.
More than the average paint and sip art studio, ArteVino is a concept that puts customers first. Its classes are designed to help consumers of all ages and artistic levels create beautiful paintings that they can customize, which is why the brand focuses on one-on-one instruction and interaction. It's also why ArteVino boasts a collection of original artwork that's top quality. But consumers aren't the only ones who have noticed that there's something unique happening during every ArteVino session. Aspiring franchise owners are also catching on, which has sparked a conversation that's being picked up by the media.
However, it's not just news articles that are highlighting what ArteVino franchise is all about. Its studios are also being shown on major TV shows from networks like TLC and truTV. And according to Canale, it's helping to fuel the brand's ongoing expansion efforts.
"One of our biggest milestones over the past five years has been the attention that we've received from the national media. We didn't even seek it out in the beginning, but major networks and television shows started reaching out to us to film in our studios. Naturally, we jumped at the chance. And now, it's becoming a part of ArteVino's DNA," said Canale. "To date, we've appeared on Cake Boss three times and Impractical Jokers twice."
It's not surprising that major networks like TLC and truTV are interested in featuring ArteVino as the back drops to their shows—the brand makes it a point to open up studios in locations that have character. One of the brand's studios in New Jersey, for example, used to be an old bank. But despite that one of a kind vibe, Eskinazi still says that the media attention first came as a surprise.
"If you had told us when we first started this business that we'd be filming for shows like Cake Boss and Impractical Jokers, I don't think that we would have believed you," said Eskinazi. "But now it's become a part of who we are. And these aren't paid publicity stunts or a part of our advertising strategy—these shows and their producers are genuinely reaching out to us because they want to feature our locations on their platforms."
Being featured on TV shows like Cake Boss and Impractical Jokers is just one of many competitive advantages that come with being a part of ArteVino's rapidly growing franchising system. While franchisees have the opportunity to build on the buzz that these starring roles create, it also enables them to reach more customers than they'd otherwise be able to. And as the CBS New York points out, once customers have ArteVino on their radar, they're going to want to come back.
"Discover your inner artist with a glass of wine in your hand. ArteVino is an art and wine studio for recreational, BYOB art classes. It's a fun, social atmosphere where you can create your own version of some of the most famous artistic masterpieces."
Right now, ArteVino is planning to build on the momentum behind its studios and newly launched franchise concept by expanding in key development markets across the East Coast, including Connecticut, Pennsylvania and New York. Franchisees can expect initial startup costs to range from $99,800 to $123,850.
